We are thrilled to announce that on 03-04.06.2024, the European Congress of Industry and Energy Industry in Transition was held at the International Congress Centre in Katowice.
As a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, the event organiser, we have had the opportunity to participate in this significant meeting combining the world of business and politics. Participants at the congress included:
Prof. Jerzy Buzek
Marzena Czarnecka, Minister of Industry
Borys Budka, Member of the Sejm
Michał Dąbrowski, President of the Management Board of the Industrial Development Agency
Kazimierz Karolczak, President of the Metropolis GZM
Sen. Krzysztof Kwiatkowski
Waldemar Skrzypczak, Lieutenant General of the Polish Army
and many other notable guests, experts and panellists.
Apart from numerous discussions and bold statements, the participants had the opportunity to get to know our company and offer by visiting our stand. There were many interested parties, and every talk and view exchange is a step towards development and new possibilities.
Quoting the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Tomasz Zjawiony:
“We are standing on the edge of a green revolution that will transform our country. Armed conflicts influence the energy security, and crises manifest the brittleness of the system. Therefore, it is vital to invest in the industry, new technologies. I believe that this congress will be a platform for exchanging knowledge and views. Only by joining forces can we achieve sustainable goals.”
We are confident that Insteel, as a company in the new technology sector, can contribute to the development of transformation and Polish industry.
There was no shortage of well-known guests and significant speeches at the congress, like the words of Marzena Czarnecka – Minister of Industry, which allow us to look to the future with greater hope:
“We should create a place for dialogue about the energy transformation in Katowice, where we will discuss legal changes, simplifying administrative procedures in order to facilitate industrial development. (…) We want to create productivity, e.g. in the steel industry with predicted growth of 3-5 per cent in Europe.”
One of the most important events of the congress was signing the Letter of Intent between Walcownia Blach Batory Sp. z o.o. and Cognor S.A – HSJ branch in Stalowa Wola, in which the parties to the agreement declared cooperation in the reinforcement production volume and increasing the use of Polish materials for components in the manufacture of arms and ammunition within the territory of the Republic of Poland. The Industry Development Agency and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice have also signed the agreement.
Congratulations to all the Signatories for an excellent initiative!!! We support all activities that enable the development of Polish industry!!! Let’s manifest the power and quality of our capabilities together.
